Advocates urge you to slow down, 'Be Idle'

For the past two decades, goal-oriented self-help and business books have pushed us to be efficient, effective and energetic.
We are to seize the day with our mantras and our multitasking, while finding time to exercise and meditate. We are to make the most of our day by doing the most with our day.
Now a crop of books and national groups are advocating laziness. Or so our overachiever American minds would have us think. The bottom line message is that we need to set aside time to do nothing. Just be.
